The call covers how you got started, what makes you different, who you serve, and what you stand for. We listen for how you naturally talk about your business: the phrases you use, the stories you tell, the things you care about.

2. We Capture and Write

We record the conversation. We transcribe it. We use that transcript as the source material for everything we write, capturing your specific phrases, your stories, and the way you naturally explain your work.

The result is content that sounds like you, because it is built from how you actually talk about your business.

3. You Review on Google Docs

We deliver the content in a shared Google Doc. You read it, comment on it, and make changes right there. If something does not sound right, you tell us and we fix it.

Most clients only need light edits because the content is built from their own words.

4. We Build (or Hand It Over)

Once approved, the content goes into your Big Sky website along with the meta tags and structured data we write to go with it (tech stuff behind the scenes).

If you already have a website with a different designer, we hand you the finished content and you (or your current web team) can drop it in. We have done this both ways.

Common Questions About Tell Your Business Story

What if I do not like what you wrote?

You comment on it, you tell us what does not sound right, we fix it. One round of revisions is included in the price. The content lives in a shared Google Doc, so editing back and forth is easy. Most clients only need light edits because the content is built from the way they actually talk, but if a section needs to be rewritten, we rewrite it.

Will it actually sound like me?

That is the whole point. We are not writing in our voice. We are writing in yours, captured from how you talk about your business during the recorded conversation. If you are direct and folksy, the content is direct and folksy. If you are precise and technical, the content is precise and technical. The content matches the person.

Can I use this for an existing website?

Yes. Most clients use Tell Your Business Story as part of a new website build, but it works just as well on an existing site. We rewrite the pages you already have, sometimes add new pages, and hand it all back to you for your team to drop in. Do you do blog posts and social media too?

Yes, as add-on packages. The base Tell Your Business Story service covers your core website content. Ongoing content (blog posts, social media posts, newsletters) can be added separately. A common add-on package includes four weeks of social media posts tied to a blog post, with the blog post and social posts linking back and forth to each other.

How often should I do this? Once and done, or on a recurring schedule?

This works best as a recurring service. Your business changes throughout the years. Your services grow. Your team changes. Your stories evolve. A website written today does not stay current forever. We recommend Tell Your Business Story at minimum once a quarter, especially if you are also doing blog posts or social media. Ask about a recurring schedule on the call.

What if my business is complicated and needs more than one call?

That is fine. Bigger or more complex businesses sometimes need two or three calls. We will tell you up front in the quote if your project needs more than the standard 30-minute conversation. Pricing scales accordingly.

Is this just for horse industry businesses?
