Websites for Horse Ranches and Breeders

Stallion stations, broodmare operations, performance horse programs, and breeding ranches. Built by people who know the difference between a foundation-bred mare and a marketing buzzword.

Generic web designers build you a generic site. They do not understand pedigrees, they do not know why a stallion's get matter, and they will spell "AQHA" wrong on the first draft. We will not. We have been building ranch and breeder websites for nearly three decades.

"I have stood stallions. I have sold many, many horses off a website. I know what makes a stallion page book mares and what makes a for sale listing actually move horses. We are not guessing. That is what we have done." — Tom Bruch, Owner

What We Build for Ranches and Breeders

Every ranch is different. Some sell foals. Some stand stallions. Some campaign cutters or reiners. Some do all of the above. Here is what most of our ranch sites include.

Stallion Pages

Individual pages for each stallion with pedigree, get, performance record, breeding fees, contract download, photos, and video. Built so prospective mare owners can find every answer in one place.

Broodmare & Sales Lists

Filterable, sortable lists of mares for sale, foals for sale, prospects, and broodmare bands. Each horse gets its own page with pedigree, photos, and contact link.

Breeding Info & Contracts

Clear, downloadable breeding contracts. Mare care info. Shipping arrangements. Booking forms. All the practical info that turns interested visitors into booked mares.

Photo & Video Galleries

Horse buyers want to see the horse. We build galleries that load fast, look professional, and make it easy to add new photos and videos as foals grow up or prospects earn new wins.

Show Records & Earnings

Performance records that you can update yourself, or send them to us to add. Wins, earnings, and association points displayed the way the horse industry expects to see them.

Inquiry & Booking Forms

Forms that route the right inquiries to the right person on your ranch. Breeding inquiries to the breeding manager. Sales inquiries to whoever closes the deal.

Why Horse People Pick Us

There are plenty of web designers in the world. There are very few who understand the horse business. Here is why ranches keep choosing us.

We Speak Horse

Tom has been around horses his whole life. His wife Carrie served on the NYCHA board. His kids showed in NYCHA, and his daughter Jessica was the NYCHA secretary. We are not learning the industry on your dime. We already know it.

We Get Pedigrees Right

Five-generation pedigrees, paternal and maternal lines, cross-referenced and linked to any horse on your site. We do not just paste a screenshot from AllBreedPedigree. We build pedigrees that integrate with the rest of the site.

We Update Fast

You sold a horse. You bred your stallion to a new mare. Your colt placed at the Futurity. We get the update done in 24 hours. Most web designers take a week or just never respond.

We Stay With You

We do not build it, hand you the keys, and disappear. Most of our ranch clients have been with us 10+ years. We are still the ones answering the phone when the next update needs to happen.

"We have been working with Big Sky since 2008. They are fantastic. We have sold many horses with most being weanlings. We do a combo of our own updates & of them helping us. Tom & Debbie have been great!"

— Jodie Woroniecki, Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses

Built by People Who Have Lived This Business

Tom Bruch holds a Bachelor of Science in Equestrian Science from Salem College in West Virginia. He has trained, boarded, bred, shown, judged, and stood stallions throughout his career. He has hauled horses across twelve states in a semi pulling a Sooner four-horse living quarters trailer with his family. He has built websites for some of the most respected ranches and stallion stations in the horse industry.

When you call Big Sky and start talking about your stallion, your foal crop, your mares, your for-sale list, or your production sale, you are not explaining what those things are. We have lived all of it.

Running a Production Sale or Stallion Service Auction?

If your ranch or breeding operation runs a stallion service auction or a production horse sale, we can integrate that directly into your website. Same brand, same design, same admin team. The auction platform we built has raised over $8.7 million for horse associations since 2020, and the same system works for individual operations running their own sales.

Our Industry-Exclusive 3-Way Guarantee

No other horse industry web designer offers this. Most cannot. We can.

28-Day Money-Back

Not happy with your new site in the first 28 days? We refund your money. Period.

24-Hour Updates

Send us an update. We get it done in 24 business hours. Every time.

Transparent Pricing

No hidden fees. No "premium support" tiers. You know exactly what you pay before we start.

How Pricing Works

Every ranch and breeder website we build is different, so the final price depends on what you need. A small operation with three stallions and a basic horses-for-sale page is a different build from a multi-generation ranch with a production sale catalog and a full breeding operation.

What we will tell you up front:

  • Ranch and breeder websites at Big Sky typically start at $3,000 and scale up based on what you need.
  • We give you a fixed quote before any work begins. The price we quote is the price you pay. Read the full 3-Way Guarantee.
  • Hosting and unlimited updates are a flat monthly or annual fee. We do not charge per update or per horse listed.
  • We do not take a percentage of horse sales, breeding fees, or auction proceeds. Ever.

The first step is a 30-minute conversation about your operation. We will tell you what we would build, what it would cost, and how long it would take.

Common Questions About Ranch and Breeder Websites

Do you take over our existing website?

No. Every Big Sky site is built on our server, on our hosting, with Cloudflare Enterprise. We require that for the uptime, security, speed, and email deliverability we guarantee for our clients. We move your existing content (stallion records, sold horse history, photo galleries, testimonials) into the new site. You do not lose anything important. You gain a platform we can actually stand behind.

Can I update the site myself, or do you do all the updates?

Both, your choice. Most ranch owners we work with handle their own for-sale listings, foal announcements, and photo updates because the back end is built to be simple. For anything bigger, or for owners who would rather not deal with it, our team handles updates within 24 hours under the guarantee. You can also mix and match. Update some things yourself, send the rest to Debbie and her team.

How do you handle horses that get sold?

They stay on the site, just not in the active for-sale listings. Two common approaches: we move sold horses to the bottom of the for-sale list with a "Sold" banner across them, or we create a separate "Sold Horses" page showing everything your operation has sold. Either way, future buyers can see what your program produces, which builds trust.

Can we sell breedings or horses through the website?

Yes. We integrate with Stripe most often, and also PayPal or Authorize.net depending on what you prefer. All payment processing happens on secure, PCI-compliant systems. Your website never stores or touches a credit card number, which protects you and your buyers.

Can we tie our website into our production sale or stallion service auction?

Yes. Our auction platform integrates directly with your ranch or breeder site. Same brand, same look, all reporting flows back to you.

How often will you update the website with new foals, new stallions, new horses for sale?

As often as you want. The 24-hour update guarantee means routine updates are live within a business day, most within hours. There is no limit on how many updates you can send. Some of our ranch clients send updates daily during foaling season.

How long does it take to build a ranch or breeder website?

Most ranch builds take 4 to 6 weeks from contract signing to launch, often quicker. We will give you a specific timeline in your quote.
